Episode #125: Band-Aids Work Very Well on Small Cuts

Saturday, May 30th, 2015

This week we have selections from the 1950s through to yesterday and almost every decade in between. We might have missed a couple of decades in there but you shouldn’t mind. You’ll hear finger-snapping instrumentals, wacky impressions, celebrity gossip, folk music, covers, Bob and Ray, and more, including reasonably new music by The Primitives and by Calvin Broadus. Plus girls, girls, girls! May ends but June begins. It’s always something. Please, download and listen.

Episode #124: The Wiggles Project

Saturday, May 23rd, 2015

This week we start with a light-hearted mechanical instrumental, ease into a set of cover tunes, speak with a special guest, and that’s just the beginning. So much stuff. Some of it’s pretty good. Obscure blasts from the past, hip-hop from the living and from the dead, acoustic fun, jazz, Bob and Ray, Christmas music, another answer-song pair, the inner mind, and the outer limits. Maybe a little more. You will be pleased, and we will be honored, if you download and listen to this episode.

Episode #123: Think of Siamese Twins. Now Think of Something Else.

Saturday, May 16th, 2015

This week one of our TV shows is ending and we mention that. We play a whole set of Cole Porter songs because he was a very clever man. There are folky things and jokey things, the angelic voices of British children, cover tunes, a request, and music by a successful young American singer who has a great life. We mention our favorite soft drink, we play another “answer” song, and we play even a little more than that. 90 enjoyable minutes of our lives, preserved in amber. Please honor our amber with your downloads.
